Projects where the agency/owner/firm demonstrated a good faith effort in providing opportunities and utilizing Small, Minority, Woman and Veteran-owned business enterprises (SMWVBE) on their project. Nominees should demonstrate how they have assisted contractors, subcontractors, consultants and vendors with respect and dignity. Projects eligible for competition must be at least 90% complete between May 2021 and April 2022 and have sufficiently answered the questions as specified below.

(Project Owners may apply for one or more award category and submit more than one project per category)

Projects where the General Contractor demonstrated a good faith effort in providing opportunities and utilizing Small, Minority, Woman and Veteran-owned business enterprises (SMWVBE) on their project. Nominees should demonstrate how they have assisted contractors, subcontractors, consultants and vendors with respect and dignity. Projects eligible for competition must be at least 90% complete between May 2021 and April 2022 and have sufficiently answered the questions as specified below.

The Subcontractor of the year is a company who has positively influenced and impacted the construction community.

The Supplier of the year is a company who has positively influenced and impacted the construction community.

The Professional Services Provider of the Year is a company who has demonstrated how they integrate diversity goals throughout their organization. From top to bottom, your leadership and staff continue to find ways to improve, support and recognize diversity in projects as well as positively influence and impact the construction community

The Advocate of the year is an individual or company who has positively influenced diversity and impacted the construction community with outstanding diversity programs and outreach.

The Volunteer of the Year is reserved for a current member of the organization dedicated to supporting the HCA de SA mission through leadership, committee involvement, membership recruitment, and financial support

Scholarship Application - Due July 1, 2022

Three scholarships of $1,000 each will be available and awarded by the HCA in 2022.

The purpose of the scholarship is to assist undergraduate, post graduate and technical/ trade students that are members of the HCA de SA or family members of members. No particular field of study is mandated.
